    Abstract
The water resources of the Sahelian countries bordering the Senegal River Basin (Senegal, Mali and Mauritania) are limited an unequally distributed. To overcome the unequal distribution of water resources and to manage floods and drou River basin, billions of cubic meters of water are currently stored in dams, first of Manatali. The paper reviews current wat capacity in the Senegalese, Malian and Mauritanian parts of the Senegal River Basin. Data from a list River Basin were used to analyze the country's water storage capacity in the basin. The water storage capacity is highest in part and the lowest in the Mauritanian part. The results also show that while it is cle invested heavily in the development of water storage infrastructure, there is potential for additional infrastructure develop However, since the Senegal River is transboundary, riparian countries must continue of their ecological requirements and international obligations.
